Econowatt Ozone System can reduce microbiological growth and other factors that affect the performance and lifespan of Cooling Towers and Heat Exchange Equipments, thereby increasing efficiency and effectiveness while reducing costs and increasing savings at the same time!

  • Biological growth protection – by eliminating bacteria, viruses and molds that causes “biofilm” and Legionnaire’s disease
    • Biological growth accumulate on the sides and surfaces of the components of the system. This hampers heat transfer efficiency, which results in increased costs due to more energy consumption. Also, it results to contamination, formation of scale and other water problems.
  • Mineral scale control – ozone softens water and reduces surface tension
    • Mineral scale on water surface (from hardness) hinders heat transfer. Ozone reduces the surface tension and the precipitation of scale.
  • Fouling reduction
    • Fouling happens when unwanted materials accumulate in the system, reducing the effectiveness of heat exchange, increasing temperature and pressure drop.
  • Environmental conservation – by avoiding chemical usage
  • No harmful residues – ozone requires only a short contact time (10-30 mins), then it decomposes quickly with no harmful remains

Results from an actual project implementation, comparing actual condenser approach temperature, illustrate clearly the successful results of applying Econowatt Ozone Water System.

The graph below shows annual result data of condenser approach temperature using CHEMICAL TREATMENT. The temperature rises dramatically month after month.
