On June 26, 2009, Toshiba Facility Manager Christopher Bellaflor & Taikaisha Asst. Manager Ronil G. Paz received the turnover of 3 units Ozone Generators (Inset) from Tetrad Electrical & Industrial Services Inc. Gen. Manager Jon Edralin (Digital Dealer – Calabar Area), Digital Marketing President Mr. Teddy Lim, and Econowatt Manila Representative Anthony Ng.
ENERGY SAVING AND CHEMICAL FREE WATER TREATMENT SYSTEM FOR COOLING TOWERS
Thai Energy Conservation Co., Ltd (Econowatt) and Digital Marketing, Econowatt’s exclusive Philippine dealer, has installed three (3) units of Econowatt Ozone Generator to Toshiba Information Equipment (Phils) Inc. at Laguna Technopark to take care of their water treatment system. This pioneering innovation of Toshiba testifies the company’s commitment to promote environment-friendly and energy-saving systems. With ozone generators, Toshiba’s newly installed water cooled chillers and cooling towers will have protection against biological growth, scaling and corrosion; also, reduced energy, water and chemical expenses.
The ozone system uses oxygen as raw material. Econowatt Ozone Generator performs its function to convert oxygen into ozone, and then efficiently mixes it in the cooling water for treatment. Bacteria, molds and other biological organisms are eliminated with ozone treatment, thereby reducing scale, slime and sludge. With control of biofilm, corrosion is also reduced. The system also helps lessen water and electricity consumption with operation of the chiller with clean condenser, thus, aiming for improved heat transfer and high chiller operation efficiency. Moreover, no harmful residues are released since ozone needs only a short contact time before it rapidly decomposes back to oxygen.
Econowatt upholds corporate responsibility towards environmental conservation and energy-saving in its promotion of Ozone Generators as alternative to chemical biocides for cooling tower water treatment.
